Starting with a small campus in Jalan Hang Tuah in 1984 before moving to a permanent campus in Lendu Alor Gajah 10 years later until the establishment of UiTM Cawangan Melaka Kampus Bandaraya Melaka the city campus in 2007, UiTM Cawangan Melaka always strengthens its strategic plan in its education system besides targeting students from time to time.

With only 86 students in 1984, now UiTM Cawangan Melaka is proud of the number of students has surpassed the number of 10,000 students which is more than 6,500 at the UiTM Cawangan Melaka Kampus Alor Gajah and also approached 3,500 students at the city campus.
