EIS UiTM

The Beginning

Temporary placement at the Institut Kemahiran MARA (IKM) on Hang Tuah Road. At the beginning there were only 32 support staff and 5 lecturers. There were only 158 students and the courses offered were Diploma in Public Administration (DPA), Diploma in Business Studies (DBS), Diploma in Accounting (DIA) and Diploma in Secretarial Science (DSS).

Lendu Campus

Transfer to a permanent campus in Lendu, Alor Gajah district. The campus area covers 358.2 acres and 26 Km from the City of Malacca.

City Campus

Campus operations started on December 15, 2006, with 11 administrative staff. The academic session began on January 3, 2007. Led by UiTM Melaka Campus Director Associate Professor Dr Mizan bin Hj. Hitam and assisted by the Deputy Director of the city campus, Associate Professor Mohd Zainud-Din bin Hassan.
It is a national agenda in collaboration with the Chief Minister of Malacca and UiTM Vice Chancellor to realize the intention of the Prime Minister and Deputy Prime Minister to target 200 000 students at UiTM. On March 26, 2007 UiTM residents are proud of the launching of city campus known as UiTM Cawangan Melaka Kampus Bandaraya Melaka by YAB Chief Minister of Malacca, Datuk Seri Mohd Ali bin Mohd Rustam.
UiTM Cawangan Melaka Kampus Bandaraya Melaka houses the history of the largest UiTM city campus in Malaysia with nearly 3,500 students.

Jasin Campus - Build

The groundbreaking ceremony was officiated by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak. The construction of the third campus will enable all three districts in Melaka to have UiTM Campus. The Melaka Tengah District houses the Kampus Bandaraya Melaka, the Alor Gajah District has a Kampus Lendu, while the Kampus Jasin in Jasin District is built on a 218-acre site in Felcra Seri Mendapat. The entrance to this Jasin Campus for those using the North-South Highway is via the entrance to Merlimau Jasin via the Lipat Kajang Toll Plaza. The campus is about 30 kilometers from Malacca City.

Jasin Campus - Operating

Offering Science and Technology courses at Kampus Jasin will complement a combination of non-Science and Technology courses at Kampus Alor Gajah and Kampus Bandaraya Melaka.

About 50% of the total student population, of which 2500 are provided accommodation. This means that the remaining 2500 will stay off campus.
