Faculty of Business and Management

The Faculty of Business Management (FBM) is the earliest faculty of UiTM with the establishment of the RIDA Training Hall (Rural Industrial Development Authority) in 1956. This faculty is now the largest faculty in Malaysia with more than 20,000 students and about 60,000 alumni, many of whom hold senior positions in the private sector. This faculty plays a very important role in nation building and to fulfil that role, this faculty offers programs that are in line with the needs of the ever-growing business community.

In UiTM Cawangan Melaka, FPP was established as early as 1984 at the Jalan Hang Tuah ITM Campus. At that time, only two programs were offered. The two programmes were Diploma in Business Studies and Diploma in Banking. With the rapid development of the country's economic activities, the FPP at UiTM Cawangan Melaka has also grown and offered more competitive programmes where the diploma programmes are offered at the main campus in Kampus Alor Gajah and the degree programs are offered at Kampus Bandaraya Melaka which is the city campus. At present, there are four (4) Diploma programmes and five (5) Bachelor's Degree programmes offered with a total of nearly 4000 students. These programmes expose students to aspects of business management such as management, marketing, finance, operation and other related fields.
